Stay at the Ship in Dock Inn
The Inn offers not just a great atmosphere for drinkers and diners, but also the opportunity to stay with us in our all king-size, en-suite rooms. The Inn has long had a reputation of being one of the very few locations in the town where a River view is guaranteed from all bedrooms and guests will appreciate that with us being just 2 minutes’ walk from the town centre, we are ‘close enough’ but just far enough away to be far quieter and avoid the late night volume of the town centre.
Whilst dogs are welcome in the bar area they are sadly not welcome in our guest rooms.
Our Rooms
We certainly feel that our house is your home during your stay with us. All of our rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. All rooms offer views over the River Dart and Coronation Park with king-size doubles and en-suite bathrooms.
Included in your room rate (unless otherwise stated) is a full English Breakfast offering which starts with cereals and fruit & yoghurt, followed by cooked options and accompanied with coffees & teas of many varieties. Vegan, coeliac and other dietary requirements can be catered for be we must be told in advance of any special requirements

Full Fibre Broadband is distributed throughout the premise and is available to all guests without any charge.
En-Suite Bathroom
Tastefully decorated and equipped the bathrooms to all rooms are supplied with basic cosmetics, heated & illuminated mirrors, toothbrush chargers and shaver points. All towels included.
MiniBar
All rooms have mini bars equipped with spirits and mixers to cater for nearly every late-night desire as well as snacks and treats for any sweet or savoury pang.
Live TV
All rooms have Freeview large screen TVs that also allow content from Netflix or Amazon Play (your account login to be used).
Breakfast Included
Breakfast with us is highly recommended. All rooms include our standard offering of chilled and ambient offerings followed by a freshly cooked offering to your desire. This is all accompanied by juices, Teas & Coffees of your selection.
Others
Our rooms are also central heated and equipped with Dyson fans, a safe, hair dryer, tea & coffee with fresh milk, ear plugs, eye mask, basic cosmetics, hand soap, shower cap and shower gel.
Dog Friendliness
Man’s best friend is very welcome in the bar and at our outside tables but we do not permit dogs within the Eatery or Guest Room accommodation and open spaces.
Young Ones
We do not accept room guests under the age of 21 without prior consent verbally with us. We welcome children within the bar and eatery areas but do politely request good behaviour from all of our patrons.
Cancellation Policy
Once room reservations have been confirmed there is a strict 30-day cancellation policy in place. Any room reservations being cancelled with less than 30 days to arrival date will face a charge of the first night in full.

Check In & Check Out
All of our rooms are available from 16:00 upon the day of arrival. An early check in is available at an additional fee of £15 and can only be requested at the time of booking – please call us direct if you require this. Check out is by 10:30 on the day of departure. We are unable to offer late check outs.
House Rules
We like to ensure the Inn remains a great place for all guests to sleep and stay so we always ask each guest to be respectful of this and ensure that room noise is kept to a minimum and that doors are closed and shut with care and not slammed. We operate a no smoking policy throughout the premise and any guests thought to have smoked within their rooms or out of windows will have a cleaning charge of £150 added to their room charge – we reserve the right to charge this after your check out and upon room inspection.
Parking
Whilst there is no parking available at The Ship in Dock Inn, there is the town’s main car park at Mayor’s Avenue next to the Royal Avenue Gardens, only 5 minutes away from our Inn.

“We stayed at the Ship in Dock Inn for three nights with two friends. Lovely little find, friendly hots, hearty breakfasts, free car parking at a nearby car park with pass provided. The small bar closes early at 21:30 so staying guests are not disturbed. Great big bathrooms with good powerful showers. Stocked mini bar with free water & fresh milk. Tea & coffee making facilities and toiletries. What more could you ask for! The perfect little bolt hole. Highly recommended.”
